Number of tangents from a point on a circle : If we take any ponit P then there can be three situations

When the point is on the circle Exactly one tangent can be drawn to the circle from point P | When the point is outside the circle Exactly two tangents can be drawn to the circle from point P to the circle, | When the point is inside the circle In this case we cannot draw any tangent to the circle. |
